American College of Bankruptcy

The American College of Bankruptcy was formed in 1989 with the mission to honor and recognize distinguished bankruptcy professionals who are qualified for membership in an effort to set standards of achievement for others in the insolvency community, and to fund and assist projects that enhance the highest quality of bankruptcy practice, including undergraduate and graduate programs related to bankruptcy and insolvency.

American College of Bankruptcy Foundation

The American College of Bankruptcy Foundation was established to promote the ends of justice through educational and charitable activities. Its missions, focused in the areas of bankruptcy and insolvency are: sponsorship and encouragement of legal research, publications and forums; establishment of scholarships; providing for the collection and maintenance of data and documents for scholarly research; and fostering the institution and maintenance of legal aid facilities for the indigent.

Federal Magistrate Judges Association

The Federal Magistrate Judges Association, composed of active, retired and recalled United States Magistrate Judges, was established to promote the efficient administration of justice, to protect the integrity, dignity and independence of the federal judiciary and to educate the public about the important role that magistrate judges play in criminal and civil cases that come into our federal court system.

International Insolvency Institute

The International Insolvency Institute is a non-profit, limited-membership organization dedicated to advancing and promoting insolvency as a respected discipline in the international field. Its primary objectives include improving international co-operation in the insolvency area and achieving greater co-ordination among nations in multinational business reorganizations and restructurings.

International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation

The International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation was established in 1993 to support the connection, promotion and success of women in the insolvency and restructuring professions worldwide. Through a global membership of more than 1,200 attorneys, bankers, corporate-turnaround professionals, financial advisors and other restructuring practitioners, members develop a powerful network of contacts, resources, mentors and friends.

National Bankruptcy Conference

The National Bankruptcy Conference is a non-profit, non-partisan, self-supporting organization of approximately sixty lawyers, law professors and bankruptcy judges who are leading scholars and practitioners in the field of bankruptcy law. Its primary purpose is to advise Congress on the operation of bankruptcy and related laws and any proposed changes to those laws.

Recovery & Insolvency Specialists Association

Established in 2012, Cayman islands based RISA has swiftly grown to over 400 members. Focusing on delivering educational and networking events, RISA’s mandate is to investigate and share best practices amongst industry practitioners in the fields of insolvency, restructuring, and litigation. The Cayman Islands is respected worldwide as an international financial services center and is the domicile of choice for hedge funds and private equity funds.
